Option 1: Joey Parker and Momcilo Obradovic

So we just wait until sim 1 and everyone's happy?

I didn't see you already cut them.
Since 2nd round options aren't submitted until after PS, this is fine with me.

Out of respect, I'll sit Maggette (without knowledge of his role on your squad) if you bench Pretko for PS, since injuries bleed over (no pun intended) to the reg season. The other 2 guys, you can play for 40 minutes for all I care Smiley

Valid point - I didn't realize the cuts. I am not upset but I am trying to understand the rules in place. My main question has to do with the hard cap and its purpose.

You can't really do anything once you hit the hard cap, and you can't make a trade to go over it, so it happens when your team's salaries increase and put you there (or the horseshit 'unused exceptions' fuck you over). So you can't do anything to improve your team and can't resign your players. I think this penalty is a little bit lax, but gets the job done in the sense that you are forced to get under the cap or you will lose any player other than a minimum signing when their contract is up. The original penalty we had in FBB2 was insanely punishing, but this is the built-in penalty that the software provides.

Washington Receives:
Jalen Pretko
Oscar Collier
Jake Ray

Utah Receives:
Craig Maggette
Detroit 2076 1st Round Pick (top-12 protected, goes -2 each season)
 - Pick from this trade: http://rbslforums.phillyarena.net/index.php?topic=18747.0

I accept; I will sit Pretko during PS and this will process at sim 1 when my 2nd rounders are cut sans-penalty.

This trade would not work pursuant to the hard cap rules.  Jazz may not receive more salary than he is sending out per the hard cap. This should take care of Raps' concerns about the hard cap - this seems fair to me, if you're over the hard cap you cannot make any trades that result in you taking back ANY MORE salary than you send.

I think it will work because he's cutting his 2nd rounders to take him under the hard cap.

Yeah the 2nd rounders being cut should fix it.

What's NOT fair is that I'm over the hard cap without even an MLE to show for it I'm not bitter
