We've discussed this before and the proposed rule didn't pass.  I think it's a good rule and would like to repropose it with a bit cleaner proposal:

A team cannot reacquire a player they traded or cut during the same season.  The minute the league year rolls over, this restriction goes away.

This restriction CANNOT be lifted by TPE.

Sounds good.  Less severe than NBA.  However not sure about cut players, its fairly common for nba teams to sign cut and re-sign min all the time.  Should not apply to buyouts though because of our 70% rule.

Yeah I guess I'd be fine with cutting and re-signing a min player if others felt strongly about this.  This isn't the issue I'm trying to solve for.

Just to be clear, this rule was accepted and will be in place for the next league year (2088)
