Title: G.m. Role Call
Post by: ClippersGM on April 18, 2006, 02:22:36 PM
Hello everyone. As was recommended and introduced in another thread, we would like all GMs to make 1 post in this thread to prove their activity. We ask that they post if they intend to stick with this sim as long as it lasts and that they are willing to make the dedicated time committments, or whether they wish to resign so that we can search for new GMs where appropriate and we know how many we need.

So please, just 1 post per GM, indicating your status. No commenting on what you think of other GMs activity or non-activity, just make your post and thats all. Thanks very much guys.

BTW - I confirm my status as an active GM and am wanting to stay around as long everyone lets me :D

EDIT: THIS WILL BE OPEN UNTIL FRIDAY AT 5PM. IF A GM HAS NOT POSTED BY THAT TIME HE WILL BE DEEMED INACTIVE AND WILL BE REPLACED (unless one of the Mods knows why that particular person has not posted and approves of it).

EDIT#2 - Its Role, because the GM is your role in the league, youre calling to confirm your role. So for the Warriors GM, it was a play on words :P

updated - new time deadline is Friday at 5pm, so all nominees can be discussed by the Mods over the weekend. Decisions to be made by Monday evening.

hi guys this is the Mavs Assistant GM.

I've been helping out with the construction(trade talks, depth chart strategies) of our 05-06 Championship franchise for the past season.

Rove(Mavs GM) and myself have a good partnership running the team but I'm v interested in the Bucks GM job, if that position becomes available.

I've been in other sim leagues before. I'm always active and will never quit in competitive games like this.

I see a lot of potential with the Bucks team, it was just mismenaged/neglected by the previous GM. He never once came up with his own depth chart- even way back in the 1st sim he's decided to just let the computer give him a default rotation.
Michael Redd is a max player and yet he only averaged 15 minutes a game. Magloire and Gadzuric wasted away on the bench aswell.

If I'm given the opportunity I'm confident that I can make the Bucks a successful franchise. Hopefully u guys would welcome the idea.  :)

Check-in ends at 5pm today. Over the weekend we will decide on the new GMs and I hope that we will announce them Monday morning at the latest.

So far the only absentees are:

Grizzlies GM - I have spoken to him, and he will be too busy over the next few months so he had to step down.

Bucks GM - no surprise, been AWOL for a few weeks

Pacers GM - Singh had posted before that he was going through a lot of "stuff"; as a co-founder of this league, I believe he deserves some special consideration. I will leave this one up to Trev, as the other co-founder. He may have more info on Singh that we dont know about.
