Title: Jazz block
Post by: BucksGM on February 16, 2018, 02:36:41 PM
Would consider moving the Knicks 87 and/or Lakers 88 for a nice pick this year. Also...

One of the best bigs in the game, the anchor of the #1 ranked defense 3 out of the 4 last years (the other year we were 2nd  :( ), the excellent Burt Smith, is on the block.

His achievements reflect his attributes, as you can see:
GM's Choice: 2084  DPOY & 1st Team Center, 2081 Co-DPOY
Program: 3x All-Defense 2nd Team, 2x blocks leader, 2x champion

Burt is the ideal defensive anchor with A- or A in all the "defensive center" stats. He has a proven track record of generating team success - this team didn't really take off until we got Burt. His game also isn't predicated on athletics at all, so you know he'll age well as bigs usually do. Burt's not a big scorer but he does end up as a double-double per 36 guy every year and his passing and handling are frankly elite for a center. He's locked up for 3 more years after this one and the final year is even a team option.

I am open to anything on Smith; rebuilding packages, other players, you name it. The one requirement is salary probably needs to be less or equal to his.

I just noticed this. I encourage everyone to include GM's Choice awards too when advertising players, they are often more representative than the program's and helps raise their value of course.

Good point, Kyle.  I also encourage GMs to update their fucking trade blocks.   ;D
