I'm sure the London boys wouldn't mind the early kickoff; Dan may have to work the next morning, Jeff's got a young one at home, and I'm planning on driving back that night. 

Depending on the shifts that Jeff and Travis work we can probably be on the road by 6ish, it's not like I'll be polishing my shoes before a night with you guys.  ;)

Will be coming from Brantford that aft. How many London (or just 'west of TO' ) guys do we have who might need a ride? If there's a real jam or pinch, and maybe some gas money (lol), I could swing west a bit and pick up a few.

Looked at my schedule and noticed i work 1-9 on Sat not 8-4. So that makes life a bit easier. Just have to see if i can switch my Fri 4-9 shift around. Id rather not have to ditch and it lose cash.

His official title is Public/Media Relations Assistant.  Don't know much about what he does but I believe that his work places him in direct contact with the beat writers in the press box.

@RocketsGM - that opens up a spot in the VW, happy to give you a lift.  Dan, and I think Jeff, are both out the north end of the city, I'll pick you up on my way back through downtown to get to the 401, we'll sort out the specifics a little closer to the date. 

I'm planning on coming back that night, I've gotta run 16K the next morning so I'm planning on leaving Toronto around midnight, hope that's cool with the guys riding with me, if not I'll draw you a map to the bus station in T.O.  ;)

I'm supposed to work but I'm getting it switched so time won't be an issue for me either. And yes, that means I'd love a ride there Scott! Dan is correct, I live on Berkshire Drive now, which is in the South end of London. If that's inconvenient then I'm sure I can catch a ride to Dan's house.
And thanks for the support in the playoffs! Personally I think I'm the underdog out of the final 4 teams, so it will be a big hill to climb, but we shall see what happens. I'll try to bring it back to London.

I officially have the night off for the 15th. The wife has been told that i am leaving and i just gota clear it with the step daughter that she is babysitting that night.......not that she has a choice. Looking forward to this alot. Wont be drinking alot that night but should be a good time.

How'd you guys make out after I left...? Stay late? Don't see any deals consumated, which is a bit disappointing. I took a wrong turn and got all way out of my way, disoriented....then, talking on cell all the way, stinking of beer and 5 pints in me, got directions from a couple of cops bearing down on sandwiches who asked no questions and were incredibly helpful.

Curious how Scottie made out too.....should be a good story.

Good time, nice meeting all of you guys, and certainly something we could try and do again.  Thanks again Lou for hooking up the reservations at RSB, it was the perfect spot.

And the run was about as unpleasant as I expected; a couple of beers the night before, about four hours sleep, 4 degree temp and very windy... but at least it wasn't raining.  I saw one other person out running in that nonsense, it was far from enjoyable and a helluva lot harder than usual...

but the lettuce wraps helped me to push through the wall at the 12K mark.  ;)

What was your time? If I had done 16k I expect that I would have crossed the line about.. now.

Finished in just under 1:45, so about a 6 1/2 minute/km pace; not bad considering the beers, the late night, and the shitty conditions. 

But I don't expect Gatorade to be asking me to be the new poster boy for elite athletes any time soon, I looked like a bag of shit at the end of it.
