Nice working with you.
My main goal was to cut salary and get younger.
Slater hasn't done much yet, but I'm willing to put him in a position to shine. Love his %s last year and this PS (albeit in limited time). Brown is an elite defender and Taylor will be solid. I have a cluster of guards and power forwards/centers so it made it easier to part ways. I'm very high on optimism and Hawkins, Odom too =)
Okulaja & Marion are poker chips at best.

Nuggets might be slowly making his team the only one to finish last and also go over the hard cap violation...

I like Slater, but he's straight up going to be that guy who never shoots the basketball.

I'm not sure I agree. I mean has he been tested as an option? Seems he gets like 15MPG.

Am I missing something with Slater? I'm more than happy to be proven wrong, but right now he looks like a shooter who doesn't shoot and who isn't particularly good at anything else. Making him an option can only do so much.
This might work out long-term, but Slater does absolutely nothing for me right now.

I was extremely cautious acquiring him & I'm not asking him to be a game changer. I want him to be a pure SG and I think he's capable of that. Hopefully his game polishes up as the seasons go by. I basically bought taylor and Brown wasn't getting resigned by me (the second rounder holds value, but it's still a 2nd...). It's definitely worth a shot. The other two I got will be given a chance at some point.

I don't entirely get the point of trading much for a middling SG prospect, when the position is so deep.
