Hey guys, we're going to remove the option of a low-level exception going forward (any players signed to an LLE deal will remain in their contract). The main impact just seems to be punishing teams by giving them another 3m of "unused exceptions." Unfortunately this will still happen with the MLE as well, but the MLE is something far more useful/used, so it's a necessary evil. Just be sure to remember that in the new software you can split the value of the MLE between any number of players you'd like (you can also give multiyear MLE contracts).

Yep, please say something if you have a strong opposition to this but since you can split the MLE I don't think there's a big issue here. Unused exceptions counting against the hard cap is awful and this is the best way to deal with it.
Obviously, if anyone has existing LLE multi-year deals they will be grandfathered in and allowed.

Is it still $9 million dollars of unused exceptions that'll go strictly towards MLE now?

No, it'll be 6 for MLE. LLE will just be cut entirely.

No, it'll be 6 for MLE. LLE will just be cut entirely. Got it. So in theory, cap (-exceptions) is $74 million/$94 million.
